[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
As seen from US 163 wich crosses 20 miles of rather flat landscape, past scattered Navajo Indian houses, appears this curious formation with a large flat rock 60 feet in diameter perched precariously on a much smaller base at the top of a small hill

Bonsoir Robert1
J'aime bien ces couleurs d'une teinte brun-rouge. La netteté est surprenante ainsi que les diverses formes du paysage. On distingue plusieurs strates démontrant, probablement, un effet de sédimentation.
Bravo Robert!
Amicalement
Denis!

Bonjour Robert. Nature is full of surprises. Thanks for revealing one more. Lovely earthen colours and well composed with the blurred background putting the formation into bas-relief. Regards. Klaudio.

Hi Robert,
Wonderful detailed capture of the red sandstone and its fine Mexican hat. The colors are very clear and look especially nice against the blurred desert background.
Regards, Tom

Le flou qui entourre ce mont au premier plan le met trés bien en valeur. Les couleurs, les détails tout ressort. Par contre le filtre n'a pas été appliqué sur les bords de l'image et ça se voit. Dommage.

bonjour Robert
quel endroit, belles couleurs, superbe paysage
excellent POV, bon cadrage, la compo est superbe, le flou donne un effet très intéressant, mais il y a un défaut à droite de l'image comme le fait remarquer jean-claude

The colours intense is great. A superb shot with excellent light. Very nicely done.
Best wishes,
Achim

Very good catch Robert! The funny shape of the rocks is well seen, nice use of a shallow DOF to focus our attention on the formation.

Amazing colors, lines and shapes here, Robert. The POV and the composition are very interesting.

LOL, Robert!
Your composition is funny and good. Excellent play with the DOF to give that blurred impression for the background. That allows to really focus on the "hat" in the foreground and yet enough information to see the texture of the background. I don't know if that little strip of sky was still a necessary for this image.
regards, Peter

Bonjour Robert
Interesting use of focus for highlighting the rock structure. The FG & the BG both are OOF thus highlighting the 'subject'. Fine details you show us of the rock & of course the 'hat. Good work!
Regards
Angshu

Hello Robert. Well shot at the hat. Excellent sharp details captured in good shallow depth. Well framed and good isolation against the blurry background. Best regards. Jusni

Hello Robert,

So you were out there looking for funny shapes in nature? Well you found this one..!
The DoF works well in isolating the subject, and creating this fine sense of depth...
A balanced composition with good details!

Greetings,
Pablo -
