Ravello - Villa Rufolo Photo

Photographer’s Note

Ravello was an important town of the Maritime Republic of Amalfi, an important trading power in the Mediterranean between 839 and around 1200.

This view is taken from the famous villa Rufolo, built in 1270. An idyllic place with small streets closed to car traffic: a place of peace which is in strong contrast with the noisy (but nevertheless wonderful) town of Amalfi, which is 5 kilometers far from here, near the sea.

A part l'arbre qui gêne (mais comment faire ?) la photo est très sympa. Couleurs 'vraies' sans pola ça fait plaisir.

This is a nice view. I like your composition showing us the villa and it's view. The lighting and colors are great with nice sharpness and DOF.

a beautiful overview image from the top of the hill down to the sea. The little chapel is very well place in the foreground and provides that feeling of really being. Very good inclusion of the tree framing the chapel and the whole scene.

J'aime beaucoup cette composition où tu as utilisé l'arbre en cadre naturel de l'image. La succession des plans est très bonne et le fait d'avoir choisi cet avant-plan sombre en introduction rajoute une belle profondeur.

Salut Regis,
I like the view from that high POV, having some shadow in the foreground and the wide open view to the ocean along the coast line. The tree is an important element here together with the towers in front.

Bonsoir, cher Régis,
Ce point culminant (du moins, je le suppose) est parfait pour dominer cette magnifique vue sur la baie.
De plus, nous pouvons admirer cet édifice coiffé de coupoles et porter notre regard au loin jusqu'à cette mer d'un très beau bleu.
Merci de nous faire voyager d'une aussi belle façon.

Sympathique vue en plongée qui donne une bonne idée de cet endroit avec la chapelle à l'avant dominant la baie et donnant de la profondeur à l'image. Bonne gestion de la lumière d'été et cadrage bien fait.
