Sine I have not seen any tiny snow flakes in Istanbul in last winter, I really missed sceneries look like that one.I like your photo,composition is good,fences helps to perspective,also black and white is very nice for this photo.

Buna Nicoleta.Intr-adevar e superba,asa ceva se poate numi iarna.Atmosfera si cei doi caini jucandu-se in zapada.Contrastul e perfect.Super fotografia,imi place mult de tot.

:) deja a venit frigul la voi? ... si mie mi-e frig desi cand ma uit in jur nu arata ca in poza ta :)
arata bine peisajul, asa usor pierdut in ceata, fara prea mare contrast - imi place ... poate as fi delimitat putin fotografia de rama cu un stroke (light) de 1 px sau poate ar fi mers putin vignetting (n-as putea sa-ti spun culoarea insa) si probabil e doar o chestiune de gust
(intr-adevar parca e putin over-sh. pe caini ... vezi dunga subtire alba/contur)
dar per total - arata chiar bine!

Snow and B&W is great combination and the dogs adds heartbeat to your composition. Only the upper left corner a bit distracting but who cares :) Greetings

You upload images so seldom, that I forgot to check your site... And this is very nice. Lovely dogs on the snow, which I miss :). Great light. I like the blurred background also. My skis are waiting for snow, so do I :).
And about the autumn - there are no strawberries ;).

o adevarata poza de iarna cu multa zapada. parca timpul s-a oprit in poza ta. doar joaca minunatilor catei aduce viata in peisajul inghetat.

Frumos contrastul alb-negru. Pacat ca imaginea e expusa prea tare in stinga sus.
Vii la Moeciu? Speram sa fie un weekend plin de zapada si voie buna.

Servus Nicoleta,

N-am stiut ca locuiesti in Brasov (ca si mine). Cred ca asta este cea mai artistica fotografie din Postavarul pe care am vazut-o pana acum. Arata ca o felicitare! Excelent! Cum se face ca nu este nici o urma de skiuri sau snowboard? Multumesc!

Hi Nicole,

I like snowy winters very much - although the last two didn't allow me to make too many snowy captures (there was at least a bit last time - but on the one before there wasn't snow at all here). You give back winter mood perfectly, great choice of b/w. I saw a similar image of Yours in full color - that's the case where colors may be distracting elements. But the duotone works fine here, even the silhouettes of the dogs almost seems like mirror reflections of each other. :) Although I like the image, have to mention 2, by my opinion minor problems:
- too much foreground, placing of the dogs is too centered
- a bit of noise on the sky
But I give 2 points, because photography is not only about technique, and the atmosphere of the pic is fantastic. Let me show You my version as a workshop though.
