Photographer’s Note
Walking into old buildings, courtyards, passageways are one of the most enjoyable discoveries for me in Budapest. Though Parisi Udvar was not new to me, finding the little staircase and a new vantage point from above were. I was engrossed by the light creeping into this neo-gothical-secessionist palace, designed by Henrik Schmal in 1909. Gladly there were a few passersby to rush through, unaware of me standing upstairs on an inner balcony.
The colour version is in the Workshop, if you care to look.
Title taken from Leonard Cohen's song "Dance Me to the End of Love"--
"Dance me to your beauty with a burning violin
Dance me through the panic 'til I'm gathered safely in
Lift me like an olive branch and be my homeward dove
Dance me to the end of love
Dance me to the end of love
Oh let me see your beauty when the witnesses are gone
Let me feel you moving like they do in Babylon
Show me slowly what I only know the limits of
Dance me to the end of love
Dance me to the end of love"
--Leonard Cohen

I'll take the B&W version even though the original coloured one is already perfect as is (proof that we can go beyond perfection). Your image, the dance in itself, L.Cohen bathing the all, I can do nothing but surrender.

You walk into old European buildings and you brings an special atmosphere with an special feelling. I can say what, something as stange, or mysterieuse. Time seams not to pass in this picture, and I pass also a lot of time watching it.
A very stetical picture that makes me imagine a lot about.

hello Sasa,
I like the movement blur of the lady dancing and the design of the floor, there is a lot of harmony here. THe b&w version is better imo. Very nice atmosphere.

Salut Sarlota
Très belle composition, qui laisse libre cour a notre imagination. J'adore cette silhouette noire qui se détache de ce sol plein de motifs

you do have a sense of graphism ;-) what can I say other than brilliant and so aesthetic? the dark silhouette is a diamond on a pure graphical gem ;-)
Have a nice sunday Sasa

Hi Sarlota. Wonderful chemistry- you, old Budapest, its citizens and Cohen.Don't know about your intentions, but everything looks vulnerable, even the lovely patterns set in stone. As usual, a message that can be interpreted according to one's mood. The romantics will see it as a testimony to enduring love, others as a testimony to man's inherent loneliness...Interesting, your exploration of vantage points and the tilting.Regards. Klaudio.

Oh man, is that ever well composed, Sasa. I love your vertical shots, they are so disciplined and precise, but with FEELING. In spades... Breathtakingly good this with just a touch of movement blur to make it sing... Great title, what can I say?
Classy...

I love the song and the picture. And b&w was the wise choice. It makes things a whole lot simpler... And the graphic feel vs the emotive feel is clear enhanced this way. That dancing ghost, wearing thick black, in the right place of the frame, really wins me over. Well seen once again dear Sasa.

Thats some cool floor patterns there, you could have had a box of lettuce there and it would still make a good image. The blurred person fits in well however with the floor, blends in quite well.
Personally not a fan of the heavy sepia, but thats just a personal choice.

Hi Sasa, the tilt and the blur here say it all... makes her dance when she wasn't actually dancing... also, it is hard to remember when a song in a note went so well with a photograph...
Cheers

This shot makes me wow! Excellent captured - the silhouete looks really like a dancer - background with its fantastic patterns gives to this shot great atmosphere - I prefer rather B+W version from these two shots. Greetings. Mac.

Dear Sasa,
I really enjoy looking at your last shots. This just hypnotizes me with the amazing patterned floor perfectly tilted to make us to lose the control and fall in its magic attraction. The delicacy of the whole scene is provided by that enigmatic dancing figure... And the song from Cohen could not be more appropriate...
A delight to see you back...

S: some people take pictures because they are tourists (myself); and some people take pictures because THEY CAN SEE - like looking at life through a special mosaic eye (yourself). Your work clearly stands on its own legs as ART. best regards, Cal

Hi Sarolta!
I guess we listen to the same music! :)

Interesting POV and great contrast between the floor (shiny with great sharpeness and details) vs the shadow (dark and blurry).
The composition give an impression of turning wheel. Well done!
Cheers,
Pris.
