Photographer’s Note
The Eagle Hunting Festival is held by the Kazakh people in far western Mongolia in early October. It involves a series of spectacular events involving Kazakh horsemen with golden eagles perched on their arms engaging in a series of competitions to demonstate their skill as hunters of large animals using these large birds of prey. I hope the photo demonstates a little of the relationship between these large predators and their human keepers.

Hi Campbell,
Quite an amazing capture. Good details, wonderful light and nothing western to be seen.
I can see you love your travels - a real adventure this must have been.

Hello,
A very nice portrait where the life can be observed in the natural posture of the man. Moreover, the nice use of a big aperture blurred the background and allows us to focus on the subject.
A real success,
Yves.

Hello Campbell,
A truly remarkable shot. The framing of the man and the eagle couldn't be better. The expression on his face tells a lot. I like the background blur, too, a trademark of this lens. Regards,
Hakan
