These feet belong to Taiwanese men who were playing checkers and chess in the shade under a large bridge. This same group of men seemed to meet almost daily, in this same location, and play the same games. Retirement I guess.
Though there are a variety on display here, sandals (or slippers or flip-flops, whatever you prefer) were the norm for footwear for many people in Taiwan. I never figured out why, but few people seemed to wear socks in "casual" settings. If it isn't weather related, I really have no idea why this my be. |

He he, I really like this, it's fun. I'm impressed all three feet are in focus, and the groove in the paving brings the viewer in. Original & interesting.
