Photographer’s Note
A film crew from Andhra Pradesh (south India), shooting a dance scene in Göreme early morning with the fairy chimneys in the background.
Those dance-music scenes are always taken in several locations: the next day, another sequence of the same song was shot at the coast near Antalya, then in Ephesos and also in Istanbul. In other words, within one song, you got the best travel informations from all over Turkey - isn’t this clever ?
From left to right in the front plan, you see the man at the monitor, checking every shot at the spot ; next to him the choreographer, the assistant and the camera-man and right a woman-choreographer.
The light engineer team is putting extra spot on the actress Kajal Aggarwal and her partner Sumanth Yarlagadda. The film will already be released in January, title not yet decided.
Take a close look at
>Kajal, the female star.
What a great surprise to witness this event in Goreme with oochappan, as I also plan to travel to India this winter, and to visit several schools, precisely in the same state of Andra Pradesh !

Hello Cath.
I love this image, as I am also in the film industry... :)
The shooting scene has been well shot by you.
Maybe some more of the camera in the frame would have added the interest here.
Golden lands, reflected lights, and an active image.
Kudos, dear Cath.

Hi Cath, Interesting shot, showing the impact of the reflectors and lighting on the scene. Intersting also so see the close up of the girl. Did you know Henk was there at the time? Cheers, Steve

Salut Cath,
belle image de travail sur un plateau naturel.
Mais un close up sur la fille nous intéresse plus, évidemment..!
A bientôt

Salut Catherine
Ca doit etre marrant comme scene! Du cinema Telugu! Tu as bien saisi l'action avec la camera, les assistants brandissant leurs reflecteurs et les acteurs en train de jouer...

Haha! Very funny. The artificiality of the movie production is a nice contrast to the fabulous landscape.

Hi Cath
Great job showing us the film- work. I like the contrast between great illuminated actress and the others in the shadow. Lovely scenery and good capture.

GREAT
WONDERFUL PHOTOGRAPHY !
Not the scene (You didn't arrange the things in there, did you).
Not the lights in there (You didn't set the lights on the set, did you?)
Not the beauty of these actors in there (You didn't conceive them, nor hire them, nor choose them, did you ?)
You are not responsible for the great skies behind the set of the movie, are you ?).
You...?
You've just been there (and we haven't...We've been busy shooting sunsets, bushes over the lakes, empty street pavements).
You,ve come as close as possible (they don't like it a bit !).
You've been disturbing them with the noise of your shutter - and you didn't stop...
(We did...We stop after first shot and run...
We pretend it wasn't us !!!)
You composed your photo very, very carefully...
We...?
We jerk our cameras shyly, idiotically gently, quaietly (not to offend anyone, God willing) close our eyes and we press the button...
You've been there breathing deeply ...We didn't...
You've posted something perfectly finished, cleaned, with a properly balanced colors...
We usually don't...
Why we don't do this things ?
Because... We are the artists !!!!
And... Because we don't have to...
We are getting our greenies anyway !!!

LOL...
None of the photographic gurus is visiting your site frequently, Catherine...
They've must be very busy...
I can imagine THEM being there (accidentally!).
Taking pictures instead of you, Cath...???
LOL LOL LOL
