Photographer’s Note
Snapped this photo on my way from a friend's house in Dayton, NV to Heavenly ski area. I'd never seen such flat ground that stretches for miles, then abrupt, snow capped mountains. One minute you're driving on flat ground in the desert with sagebrush and cows, then you're in the mountains with snow, evergreens, and skiers. WOW.
Photoshop Adjustments:
Horizon leveled.
Cropped slightly.
Added a little red to the brown grass.
Increased saturation just ever so slightly. (Yes, the sky was pretty much that blue in person.)
This photo taken with a bottom of the line, Kodak Easy Share point and shoot.

Jeff,
I understand what you mean, amazing and wonderful. Nice color and detail and in looking closely at the flat land part, it goes a very long way before ut starts to become mountain. Nice capture.

This is very nice Jeffrey, the animals and the mountain range in the background. The place looks wonderfull to phtograph.
I see artifacts in the sky (maybe the compression rate?) and there is a distinctive blue cast in the mountains.
Usually looks good some strong foreground (depends on taste). Something to make a perspective game with the massive background (a rock, a flower a stream...).
Keep posting...but be prepared to my critics ;-)
