Photographer’s Note

Hello Everyone,

I hope you are all enjoying the weekend. The weather in Lancashire has maintained the bright warmth of an Indian summer and we are all grateful for this after the disastrous summer.

Today I am posting a photograph that I took yesterday evening. The day had been bright and sunny so we went for a late evening walk at the foot of the moors. The starlings were soaring in twilight flocks, the swallows were dividing the sky as they swooped for midges and a single hawk was hovering for supper. The sun was low in the sky and illuminating the autumn colours on the trees. These colours I have tried to capture in the photograph. They are just as I saw them!

Thank you for your visit. I hope you enjoyed it. Please feel free to offer feedback on any aspect of the shot.
