Pfalzgrafenstein´s Castle Photo

Photographer’s Note

The castle Pfalzgrafenstein was constructed immediately after a dispute between the Pope and king Luis de Baviera in the year 1326 and 1327. Luis became many enemies on having demanded a few tolls desorbitantes. For it, the Pope gave to the archbishops of Cologne (Köln), Tréveris (Trier) and Mainz (Mainz) three times the order of which they were punishing the King with sorrow of excommunication, but without success.
The result was that Luis made erect a tower on the craggy rock Falkenau in the middle of the Rhine; later there was constructed there the castle, like customs castle.

Tu composicion es muy buena, y la nitidez del castillo es tambien buena.
El DOF esta bie hecho al dejar el fondo borroso ya que no aporta mucho.

very nice and I am astonished about the glance of the walls in that bad weather. It is a beautiful building. The soft light around it and the sharpness at the point help the eye to focus on the "Pfalz".

Me gusta mucho esta composición con el castillo en foco y las montañas envueltas en bruma. Las imagenes en WS estan muy buenas. Excelente POV y encuadre.

J'aime bien la note de plus l'image est superbe. La prison penche un peu à gauche par le temps. Belle vue d'ensemble et la couleur de l'eau est forte .. Superbe.. réal.

Me gusta la sobriedad de tu foto captada desde un angulo bajo y con el castillo a la derecha lo cual te da un buen efecto de profundidad, las montañas en la bruma producen un excelente DOF. Tus dos WS estan muy buenos.

Interesting, perhaps precarious location for a castle. Off-center composition is quite good. The trees give scale and the whole scenery looks somewhat bizarre. I like the relatively low contrast, too. Good work. Regards,

What a beautiful architecture within the natural environment! The blurred depth of the view is well done because of focusing on the tower and the misty atmosphere, I guess.

Hola Charo,
El pequeño castillo es encantador y original. La niebla quizás robe un poco del impacto que la foto podría ter si no existiera, pero al mismo tiempo le da una atmósfera mas soñadora y hace un contraste interesante con el sol à derecha. Los árboles quiebran alguna monotonía y dan escala. Quizá pudieras ter cortado un poco abajo, pero está muy bien así.
Me gustan igualmente los WS's, principalmente por darnos una perspectiva completa del lugar, pero el post principal está más bien logrado.

Hello Charo,
a different approach to the same motive: different POV, different lights, different atmosphere - the castle stands here as a symbol of lonelyness enhanced by the background, too. I like this photo as much as mine.
