Photographer’s Note

UNESCO has designated 2007 as the ‘Year of Rumi” to celebrate the 800th anniversary of Mevlana Jalaluddin Rumi.

Mevlana who is also known as Rumi, was a philosopher and mystic of Islam, but not a Muslim of the orthodox type. His doctrine advocates unlimited tolerance, positive reasoning, goodness, charity and awareness through love. To him and to his disciples all religions are more or less truth. Looking with the same eye on Muslim, Jew and Christian alike, his peaceful and tolerant teaching has appealed to men of all sects and creeds

Hello Guray! This is a very interesting photo! I love the way the round dome is mirrored in the round clothes of the moving dervishes. And for that purpose, wide-angle (fish-eye) is a great choice, as it makes everything look round. Your shot also attracts all the attention to the four men (and especially the one in the foreground); although there are more people, I don't find them disturbing at all. To achieve that, light is very important; it's very well balanced and throws our eyes on the first dervishe again.

Çok etkileyici bir kare.Ahşabın koyu renkleri,semazenlerin beyaz kıyafetleri fotografın gücünü artırmış.Perde hızı çok uygun seçilmiş.Balık gözü lensin yarattığı yuvarlaklık fatograftaki devinime çok yakışmış.İki yandaki sutunlarda çerçeve etkisi yapmış.Çok başarılı bir çalışma.Ellerinize sağlık.Paylaşımınız için çok teşekkürler.

sanırım geniş açı objektifle çekmişsiniz. hoş kare olmuş. renk tonlamaları harika... son zamanlarda mevleviliğe büyük ilgi var umarım bunlar popüler akımlardan biri değildir. böyle güzel şeylerin harcanması ülkemizde çok oluyor. umarım mevleveliğin başına bu gelmez... ellerinize sağlık

You seem to handle very well your fisheye as i browsed some pictures in your gallery, you seem good on PP work, yes you have a lot of ingredient so that i like your gallery :)
