Hell Cyril.
Very interesting shot. The use of the wide angle is definately beneficial here. The overhead view and distorted lines add to the mystique of this man... The blown out candle in his left hand is nice as well, again adding to the mystique. The flames look like rips in the fabric of the air...quite nice.
A few comments on technicalitites. First, I would have like to see a little crisper of an image. The face is soft as well as much of the body. I know you were shooting in dark light at apparently 30 seconds (is that right?), so you did a good job with what you had. Also, I think this shot would look great in B&W...yes, I'm a little biased towards B&W, but the color here doesn't really add anything because it is generally monotone. Anyhow, give a conversion and see what you think.
I can't do a workshop from this particular computer.
Regards,
Chris.

Hi Cyril,
Weird feeling. Flying sparkles, hypnotizing stare. Strong perspective with wide angle. Surprising to find anything like this on the streets of Dublin.
