Photographer’s Note

Hikers running around a volcano side in Iceland. The most interesting thing about the image is the scale. The clouds appear to be so close because I used the full capacity of my 18-125mm lens. Fortunately the light was really bright. So, it is reasonably sharp.

Hah...nice title Mikkel. Great interpretation of the shot. This is a nice one. The silhouette of the hill creates a great diagonal line under that dramatic looking cloud. Really nice tones, even at the open sky at the top, which mirrors the same shade of grey in the mid-cloud. A really good looking shot, the more I look at it, the more I see and the more I like it. Love the stripes of grey against the white. The people and young skywalker running...icing on teh cake here.

Hi Mikkel,
The compo is nice, with aesthetical silhouettes on the slope and the direction of the clouds forming an interesting angle with it... B&W works well too. It has some easily removable noise in the sky though, and you also have some dirt on your sensor(dark spot on the top left corner)

Hi Mikkel!

You have captured a nice and interesting subject. I like the composition with the lines formed by the ridge on one hand, and by the clouds on the other. I also think it's a good b&w subject.

I regret that your picture lacks from the technical point of view. The contrasts are - from my point of view - too harsh. The bright tones in the clouds are partially burnt with a total loss of details. Your lens or your sensor needs to be cleaned or/and the picture to be postprocessed.
