Photographer’s Note
As they prepare for another round of voting with their feet today, burmese monks may be wondering what is coming next, as well as perplexed about how much of the world knows of their struggle. Just like many of you, an old pix which somehow may fit, with a little twist, their thoughts these days.
This is just added to show I care very much about their fate, PLEASE, NO POINTS, KINDLY HAVE A SILENT THOUGHT AND PRAYER FOR THEIR WELFARE.
Thanks.

Great choice, I don't know what they were looking at that day, but they look really concerned... and we all are although we are not right in the middle of it as they are. I had so many silent thoughts all night about this, fearing the worst for the morning.... and the worst started to happen. So now maybe one hope could be that some cracks occur inside the junta itself and the army - killing monks for buddhists is a very very serious issue - since all pressures from outside do not seem to affect them at all. Let's hope!

quel dommage que tu n'aies pas publié celle ci avant! j'adore ces airs interrogatifs des moines et c'est tellement d'actualité! alors je respecte ton voeux de zero point aujourd'hui.
Belle addition au thème!

Hi Herve Blandin
What wonderfully calm and peaceful scene. One can clearly sense the tranquility of the place.
Those warm soft colours help capture the mood here. And I like the way you have graduated the sharpness of the your subjects, it gives the scene its depth. Its a beautiful shot, harmoniously composed, simple but extremely effective.

Hi Herve,
Your photo is a very symbolic addition to this moving collection of support for a people who are clearly very much beloved by TE members. Here is a link to an international organization that is collecting signatures to ask the UN to support them.

Hi Herve,
thank you so much for posting this. The world is full of so many thoughts these days ..
By the way I think the way the focus works here is really evocative and adds to the sense of the infinity of these people ..
know they are in our thoughts.
take care,
