Photographer’s Note
Mrytle Beach, South Carolina. This photo was taken while standing on Pier 14. The pier juts out in the Ocean at the waters edge there is an awesome seafood resturant called "Pier 14" and if you follow the pier out to the end you'll find benches to watch the Ocean waves and people passing enjoying the beach. You'll also find fisherman casting their lines into the sea in hopes of that big catch. You'll smell the sea air and hear the crashing waves...
Note: the lack of sharpness is because of the fact it was 105F that afternoon, alot of humidity in the air, I thought the effect was interesting....
Workshop is a painting I did of the same for my brother..the last time I was down there in August, visiting my family and my mom. My mom passed away last thursday....

I like this picture for its colors, and the people-dots on the beach, and its nice mood.
Unfortunately the quality is not at best, and it misses some sharpness. Half a smile because I think in this case sharpness is an important ingredient.
I think the cause might be in the high ISO speed.

It is true that the picture is not that sharp. But the painting is very good and I like it. Sad to know about your mum’s passing but wherever she is she will be looking after you.

Hello Donna,
This is a fine dynamic composition with good lines!
Not too crowded which is probably explained by the hazy weather that also affects the image...
It is a good documentation of beach activities!

Hi Donna. Sorry but in my opinion your photo is noisy and unsharp. Don´t be cross with me - but I am honest !

Hi Donna,
Excellent capture of the summer humity along the southern shores. Wonderful depth with nice soft colors that are muted by the deep summer haze.

Hi Donna,
Very interesting image from S.C.!
I like the architecture seen on the buildings, and all the people walking along the beach, it seems a great place to relax.
The sky wasn't very clear that day, but even so you managed pretty well to capture the essence of the place.
Well done and thanks for share it.
My best regards,
JM

Ola Dona
Bonita composição , e um belo ponto de vista, gostei da linha em diagonal dos edificios , pena a qualidade da imagem não ter ficado muito boa :(
Um abraço Gonçalo
