Mytilini is the Lesvos capital and a big port of some 30,000 people (a third of the island's total population). The waterfront is the focus of most tourist activity. We can see Aghios Therapon church, the largest in the town. Its construction began in 1860 and is of the Byzantine style.

Mytilini est la capitale de Lesbos et un grand port de quelque 30.000 habitants (un tiers de la population de l'île). Le front de mer est le coeur de l'activité touristique. On aperçoit l'église Aghios Therapon, la plus grande de la ville. Sa construction a commencé en 1860 et elle est de style byzantin.
