Photographer’s Note
I know that there are so many seagull photo's but I just couldn't resist putting this one as it is my first capture of a flying bird. This is the original photo except for a bit of cropping, sharpening and also the framework. I just wish that I got the left tip of the wing but I don't think it matters to much.

Good bird shot and well framed!! At what focal length did you take it? How can you take it so sharp when you used an exposure time of 1/200?

Very well done Jan! This is another way of taken photograph. I like this scene, seagull is looking so horrible... Hi is good centered and you take it very well, becaouse you say that you did only a bit cropping. Frame is perfect for this compo. Btw. did you try some more brightness with PP. Just little bit should be maybe better for the wings...
Very good job Jan. Regards, Don.

Very nice Jan, but the gull looks a little dark in the parts that should be white. Did you try fixing this up in levels?

image un peu sombre, et dommage que l'aile de l'oiseau soit coupé sinon rien a redire

The first one is always a treat! You just cannot believe that you have bagged the shot. Good for you. You can extend the picture to the left to add some space at that wing, it will only improve the image. And then fill flash for the undersides of the wings! BTW, this is a Herring Gull, and one mean bird. I like his beady eye.

Belle lumière rasante semble-t-il qui crée une ambiance agréable.
Le cadrage me parait très bien malgré le petit bout d'aile coupé.
Bien vu Jannie.

Great lighting on this bird. Yes, it is common, but still a beauty.

Very well done Jannie, the sharpness is not so evident without an IS lens, you could have added some more blue to the left, I think .( BTW with a color select on the blue sky , inverse and copy the bird to top layer, it is possible to tune only the seagull )

Very good catch, it is little bit disturbing that the edge of the left wing is cropped, but the frame is good, I think you should raise little bit the levels because the picture is dark.

Beautiful shot of this seagull. I must agree with some commenters that it is a bit dark but sharpness and composition are very good.
Greetings, Jan
