Photographer’s Note
Another street shot from Timbuktu, around every corner there was a new crowd of kids that wanted to have their picture taken, and I was happy to satisfy their demands. Many were a little disappointed though when they realized that I only had an analog camera and that they wouldn't be able to see their photos...
In the background one can see very typical timbuktu architecture: low, one (or sometimes two) -storied brick buildings.

Simon, I love the joy in the face of your subject, and I can forgive the overexposed background cos it allowed you to get correct exposure on the boy - but I can't forgive that half-figure on the right of the shot. Crop him out man, crop him out!!!!

Pero... ¿por qué has cortado una (seguro que hermosa) cabeza? ;-)
Bonito contraste amarillo-ocres.
Mais... pour quoi tu as coupé une (probablement belle) tête?
;-)
Joli tranche jaune-ocres.
