Photographer’s Note

Here's another windmill of the Sico region. It's situated a few kilometres far from Penela and it has been rebuilt in order to be preserved. In this one it's possible to see the two wheels and its circle to move around. In front there are now several eolics that have been put there a few weeks ago, forming now a very curious contrast with the windmill. On the left side there's also a chapel that I've not included.

de fato o contraste entre as hélices de produção de energia ao fundo com o moinho no primeiro plano ficou interessante. gostei muito das montanhas ao fundo, bem como do lindo céu.

Eu sei que é progresso e ecologicamente correcto mas, não deixa de ser uma poluição visual extrema. Gosto muito mais do velho moinho pintado com cores da terra e a reflectir um bonito pôr-do-sol. Se o moinho sempre trabalhou com o vento penso que seria uma solução muito mais estética do que as outras "ventoínhas".

Ana, somehow I missed this one. It is great! To me it says that modern engineers have finally discovered wht the people that first built these wind mills have known all along. Shot is clear and colorful and it is a very good composition.

A mistura do novo com o antigo é sempre curiosa para comparação. Neste caso ficou muito bem a proeminência do moinho antigo sobre os novos.

o contraste do velho moinho tradicional com o atual uso da energia eólica é algo que atrai nesta bela imagem. Gostei do pov, das cores e da luz. Nunca havia visto moinhos de madeira em Portugal, conhecia os de pedra.
