Photographer’s Note
Hello All!
Today I want to show you one of my favourite image. It's view of the Cathedral of Ani, former capital of Armenian Kingdom. It's located in Turkish territory in few hundrieds of meters from the border of Armenian Republic.
Please visit the best site about Ani in Internet:

I know now why Turkey is one of my future destinations!
Very nice landscape, brightly highlighted with a very original subject.
Maybe you could have embrace more sky, because th contrast between grass and sky is so big that it takes the eye away from the chapel. I also would have off-centered the chapel, to open one side of the picture and reinforce the impression of vacuity surrounding.
Nice shot anyway

Hola
Magnífica imagen de esta iglesia, da sensación de abandono y soledad.
Very nice shot of a church, it looks abandoned and very desolate.

Hi Iskander!
You're right to like it, it's great. The lonely church in ruins in this wide landscape. Great colours and a fantastic stormy sky.

Hello Iskander! I love the colours and light in this photo! The weather is really a strong ally to make it more impressive. I totally agree with Tom_imbard regarding the composition. So, if you ever go back there, or if you happen to have another photo with a different composition, please post it, and I'll worship you!
TFS, and best regards!

Greetings Iskander. A shot with a lot of impact, especially when one thinks of the sad history of the Armenian people. A church, yes. But where are the faithful. It seems to be waiting on this lonely hill, even if it is slowly dying. Regards. Klaudio.

Hello Iskander!
The building looks alone in the field. The colors are great. I would like to see what it looks like inside. Tha sharpness is excellent. I like it. Wow!
Congratulations!
Denis!

Hi, great capture of this building being highlighted by the sun with a dark sky behind. May have been impoved if the church wasn't central in the frame. Also looks as though it may be a little crooked, as the walls look to be leaning to the left? cheers, Steve

Hello İskander,
Very well captured.
There is one thing which is annoying, the sound of machines just opposite the site, a stone mine which gives trembles causing stone falls from ancient walls and buildings.
I had a look at your impartial site and liked it a lot.
Have a nice weekend.

Hi Iskander
GREAT shotof this amazing church,It gives a sense of isolation and abondonment, the surrounding fields and a thin layer of snow just adds to the beauty .Armenian churches have unique architehture and can be found even in Iran.

The contrast between the air and the field provided an excellent mood. One of the best Ani Cathedral photos I have ever seen. Thank you for sharing...

For sure a very interesting photo Iskander. By tech perfect in the setting of first snow and the greyish sky in the back. But mostly for presenting a place with this fantastic history (thanks for the link). What a place to visit...
