Hi john,
Nice POV for this very often shot spot!
Several years ago, my mother took the exact same picture in colors. I found it superb.
Well, the less I can say is that b&w is really kicking, too!
This spot seems unlimited, you went further on the way with a very original framing, with strong dynamic lines.
Excellent!

Congratulations, John. The pictures shows a great POV of this typical site. I have many pictures of the Golden gate, but none with this POV. And I like the B&W, too, that puts more force to the fact that the bridge is a "golden" one.

Hello, John -
A very different view! And unless the sky was exceptionally blue that moment (and it does happen), I think B&W was the best choice. Very good use of light and shadow, and the strength of the cables are well-positioned to add rather than detract.

Very interesting POV. Makes the bridge an iron giant- which it really is though all the fables surrounding it make it so familiar.

Good choice of B&W for this and even better choice of POV and composition John. This strongly contrasted semi-abstract is excellent and shows a very attractive and different view of an oft pictured subject.

Takes some skill to try a different shot from a much photographed location but you pulled it off superbly John .. B/W was the correct medium and this perspective does give a semi-abstract feel ..
