....it is this divine light which looks like guides us

This picture taken inside the Tughlakabad Fort, New Delhi.

About Place :
In the 1320s Ghiasuddin Tughlak , a Turk governor who had his strong hold in the western provinces invaded Delhi, and won it from Nasiruddin Mohammed(a Pawar Rajput who had adopted Islam and had gained kinghood by slaining the last Khilji ruler). Tughlak, known as a headstrong tyrant, created the third city of Tughlakabad. He created a fort here (the splendid ruins still remain ) with high battlements and his descendant Mohammad Tughlak went on to capture much of India. He also raised a city, Jahanpanah, which largely comprised a walled enclosure between Qila Rai Pithora and Siri. This is sometimes called the fourth city of Delhi. Tughlakabad, however, continued to be the main city. There were eleven rulers from the Tughlak dynasty but only the first three generations were interested in architecture-raising mosques, caravansarais, madrasas and laying canals.

Excellent shot! The sky is what really grabs my attention here, with the backlighting of the clouds showing their shapes so well, and also giving a ray effect. The rough stones of the foreground are very interesting too, and the combination works well. Beautiful!

amazing sky!

Though the PP work is quite visible but the angle of view, composition , inclusion of the beautiful sky all make it a great shot.

Excellent capture Rajiv, good job with the PoV and great exposure too, I don't know where you were standing, but the whole thing looks good.

The other day I was looking at similar light and was wondering about someone clicking the same. You seem to got it just right. Good POV and nice shot

Yes very divine and the rock seems like two god looking at us.

A beautiful shot Rajiv.
The light behind the clouds make this picture stand out.For me, the POV is excellent.
TFS, regards Jean.

Rajiv, this is simply terrific a take! the POV is really appreciable, and it gave you a tight and meningful framing, and lets not forget the dramatic sky which adds to the overall.

Hi Rajiv,
A very impressive shot!!! Composition is excellent and the post processing well managed. Which technique did you used? HDR or mask?

Pierre

This one is a solid bang rajiv, and comes after a gap from you. The drama in the sky with the fort for perspective is well captured and very well presented. I like the light lay and the textures here. A wonderful image indeed.

Olá Rajiv, quite a magical light indeed. Superb POV with the walls admiring the beauty coming from the sky. Very creative capture.

ricardo

Hello Rajiv
Looks divine indeed. You've got wonderful celestial light here. Very creative capture & love the inclusion of the walls of the fort. Long time no see Rajiv! Good to see your posts again.

Hi rajiv,
I like your idea of catching this image from lower angle. The sunrays filtered from the clouds looks wonderful. Adding a part of historic structure with a nice detail is a very good idea. Well done my friend.

Hi Raj,
divine light and phantasmagoric atmosphere thanks to the impact of those clouds, are shining! The perspective is impressive, since we see the great architecture that seems to be enormous heads of some being to be divine. Fantastic visual effect of the light happening through the simulated eyes of the stone being! Very interesting picture Raj.

Salut, Jordi

Well composed Rajiv, It looks somewhat divine...

Yes, we all need someone to watching us from above...

Hi Rajiv,

What a great take it is. You made structures mighty in your picture. The cloud formation is real beauty.

Nice sky, nice stone parapets. Ancient work is amazing, and will be there forever if left alone

Excellent, unrealistic image, great impresssion of the low sky.

cool pic, i really am a fan of such strong lights and clouds, really looks like god himself is coming to earth.
the composition with the old stone wall is terrific, with the opening the structures look a bit like faces (of guards).
i do not know of course if it would have been possible but a view
more from the front on the two "faces" would have been great
too, meaning a step or two to the right and one back. anyway, well seen & captured, thor.

Very nice picture..

Hello Rajiv,

A brilliant sunburst effect serving as the backdrop of the architectural edifice, and your short but informative note puts some historical perspective on the site. It is interesting how the architect has created face-like parapets in the walls. After seven-hundred years the place remains in excellent condition.

Warm regards,

Bulent

hi rajiv... i love this picture...this place is a big favourite among me and my friends and we have spent many a great afternoon there... this is a beautiful picture.
