Photographer’s Note
Bryce Canyon is quite a magical place. The landscape is primarily dominated by sandstone "hoodoos", tall, oddly shapped rock structures that rise up from the bottom of the canyon like invaders from another world. For this shot, the light was fading and I really wanted to have a colorful foreground element, so when I spotted this flowering plant, I thought it might turn out OK.

Michael,
Your composition is great with an outstanding POV. The fading light brings out very good colors and contrast. The flowering bush in the foreground adds a nice splash of color to the shot. The pink color of the sky adds a nice effect to the shot.
