Photographer’s Note
....waited for the setting sun to reflect in the corrugated iron walls, as I wanted the eye to be drawn to the house first.
This farm labourer's home awaits the owner as the sun sets, lighting up the west-facing walls made of unpainted corrugated iron. The field in the foreground has been plowed in readiness for the first rains that might or might not come soon.
The roof is covered with large stones to prevent the winds, blowing dust-laden across the fields, from ripping it off.
It is not an easy life, being a farm labourer.
Technical: I bracketted the exposure to get the right light.....also used a tripod.

hi Irmgard, the shiny sink shack draws the eye and the koppie in the distance ('Node se koppie / Ararat). The foreground creates an eye capturing effect to illustrate the depth of field, but overall lotsa empty space that does not serve an apparant purpose.
thanks and good day
