This little girl's distended belly and coppery-tones in her hair show that, like 40% of all kids under 5 in Mali, she is malnourished. 50% of all infant deaths in Mali are tragically due to malnourishment...which is a lot when you consider that half of the entire population is under 15....too many kids don't make it to their sweet 16.

Hi Shannon,
I like this little girl's smile and especially the colors of your picture. Everything is brown with the exception of the yellow spot on your little friend.
