Photographer’s Note

Kab Hill (599 meters) one of the highest point of the Bakony Mountains.

The first rural DVB-T (Digital Video Broadcasting Television) station, in Kabhegy, started its operation in May, 2002. The tower built in the '70s for analoge broadcasting. This station broadcasts the signs of the same programme-package as in Budapest, but completed with the regional news of the area. The broadcasting works with 2,5 kW output, from the antenna-system of the analogue television programmes.

Antenna Hungária launched the free-to-air regular DVB-T broadcasting on 12th of October 2004, with two multiplexes at Budapest on UHF 43 and 51 channels, and at Kabhegy with the Budapest 1 multiplex on UHF 64 channel. To ensure more stable service in the Northern Budapest region on channel 28 there is a relay station in place with the same settings as the master transmitter. Currently, all the 2 multiplexes contain the national public channels mtv, m2 and DUNA TV. Furthermore, these programs are accompanied with the EPG (Electronic Program Guide) and Superteletext services. (The red and white tower is the Analoge radio programme broadcast tower.)
