Photographer’s Note

to explain my astonishment in front of the “monster” of the market (preceding post)… the fishermen of xaï xaï, at the end of long and hard efforts, bring back gulf of Mozambique of quite thin catches which they will partegeront while taking care like the man of the left not to lose the smallest piece of the “spoils”
how to explain of so poor fishings with so much of work: it is necessary to cross with the oar a littoral bar with their boat then with the return to haul the net on the beach the weight is enormous but disillusion is at the end of work… surpêche, currents unfavourable, climatic events, pollution due to hydrocarbon, material misfits…???
