Photographer’s Note
This is a view of the main entryway to one of the Ta Prohm temples. The lower areas to the left and right of this walk may have once have been a shallow moat with Lotus growing in it. This would have been a common feature in many of these old temples. The moat was not to keep people out. There were spiritual conontations to the water and to Lotus growing in it. The water also created a berrier to subterranian termites which eventually destroyed any wooden elements of the ancient temple buildings in this area.

Hi David,
Although it is dim, it's lovely and mysterious. Brilliant sky.

Ha hAaa, The first look. I thought it was a painting picture, but it is not.
Wonderful Exposure.

very nice shot David. good details & notes too. I think if you'd used a higher exposure time, perhaps you could have got more details from the temple structure itself too. the photo is great as it looks like one of those old old temples we only hear about or read in story books.

Hi, This is a beautiful and tranquil scene - it is similar to a movie set. The pink tinged clouds and the dusky light make an excellent composition. TFS, Jean

Hi David,
Really interesting and beautiful colors and tones .. I love the use of perspective .. the "main subjects" of the temples seem a bit dark for how perhaps they should be emphasized .. but then in some ways this image is more about tone, color, and texture than the specifics .. very nice.
take care,
John
