Photographer’s Note
Portsmouth, NH -- A large thunderstorm came rolling through on what was a hot June day. This lightning bolt struck just across the Piscataqua River (the border between Maine and New Hampshire). I decided that was a little too close for comfort (flash-bang) and darted for the car in the pouring rain. The bridge is called the WWI Veterans Memorial Bridge, carrying US Route 1 across the river and into Maine.
F/5.6, 10 sec.

Hello Rob,
You've captured a beautiful and fearsome fleeting moment. Welcome to Trekearth, a most addictive site. Your debut is marked by an unusually good photograph. Of the thousands of photos I've seen during the past year that I've been a member, I don't think I've seen the data marked on the photo. I am wondering whether its allowed. In any event, you might look into it, even though the date happens to be my birthday.
Welcome and warm regards from Virginia,
Bulent

Hi Rob,
Welcome to TE with this exceptional shot. Beautiful light and excellent colors. Maybe you could add some more contrast to emphasize the dramatic effect. TFS
