Photographer’s Note

I was walking through an artisan village south of Tucsan in the late afternoon and this pottery shop had a fence of living Ocotillo. They had cut many straight pieces of Ocotillo and after binding them together at the top they then burried the bottom into the ground to anchor them. The Ocotillo all sprouted roots and continued to live as this fence. I liked the repetition of vertical lines that was being cast by the shadow of this living fence, so I took this picture.
