Photographer’s Note
This is the ruins of the "Auld Light", situated just south of Portavogie Co.Down, in Cloughy Bay. It did not prevent ships coming ashore as there is a large number of rocks to seaward.
Irish Lights replaced it with the Southrock Lightship situated several miles to the East. The lightship itself is due to be replaced in the near future.
