"Bahia is a good land
We have everything for you to see
We have delcious acarajé (fried bean fritters)
We have abara (steam fritters) and dendé (palm oil)
and we have Angolan capoeira
to defend ourselves

The motion blur is very good, but I wish everything else was tack sharp. Would have created stronger contrast. Perhaps you can selectively sharpen the rest of the frame. I will try a WS later. Nice capture of 'decisive moment' nevertheless.

A wonderfully dynamic image, vibrant color, the impressed faces in the background nicely balances the blur of the acrobats. Excellent stuff!

Well done Hugh! I like the way you make street photogrphy. It is like narrating men's history. Capoeira emerged as a way to resist oppression, secretly practice art, transmit culture, and lift spirits. In that sense and in my opinion a lower POV it would be better. Nevertheless a very good picture. - Spyros

Hi Hugh, this is interesting, i love your settings here showing motion on this so impressive dance 'capoeira' (would love to know how to dance that ;) ), less convinced by the POV but i guess you hadn't so much choices there as there was quite a lot of attendance ..
Good one
