L'Etna vista da casa mia la notte tra il 4 e il 5 settembre. La prospettiva fa sembrare che la colata sul fianco destro vada dritta verso gli abitati, i quali in realtà sono ben al sicuro.
L'attività, con forti esplosioni, tremori e fontane di lava, è durata appena 12 ore, ed è stata accompagnata dalla formazione di una depressione da collasso sul versante orientale del cratere s-e.

Etna seen from my home in the night between 4th and 5th September. The perspective give the illusion that the lava flow is directed to the houses. But the houses are in a safer place!
The activity, with strong explosions, tremors and lava fountains lasted for just 12 hours, and it has been carachterized also by the formation of a collapsed area on the eastern side of the s-e crater.

Hello Andrea,
Nice view of the Etna. I like it. I will come end of september to see it. I hope it will continue to have some eruption.
Your picture is very impressive with the city on the bottom.

Thank you, Andrea, for this very impressive view of Etna lava fountain... I suppose the access was not possible the next days... I had myself the opportunity to make a walk in the vincity of the summit on march 31 ; there was already some activity, but no fountain !
What was the exposure time ?

Bonsoir Andrea,
Bravo pour cette impressionnante photo. J'ai découvert avec bonheur la Sicile en Juillet. Le seigneur "Etna" était très calme à cette période. Juste un peu de fumée blanche. Mais je sais qu'il entre en éruption très souvent depuis quelques années. Merci de nous faire partager ce spectacle.

Bravo per questa impressionante foto. Ho scoperto con felicità la Sicilia in Luglio. Il signore "Etna" era molto calmo a questo periodo. Solo un poco di fumo bianco. Ma so che entra molto spesso in eruzione da alcuni anni. Grazie per farci dividere questo spettacolo.
