Photographer’s Note
This heron stood over there with his royal look and shining white colour, it looked like it was waiting for this photograph.
The picture was taken in Jaffa port, were all the fisherman are coming with fish and other water creatures, the birds like gulls and herons are waiting to get some of the fish that the fishermen throughing back to the sea, it is an easy food for them.
The picture is full-frame, it was very difficult with the heron's white feathers and the dark background, hope you will like it.

Very nice shot, Elroyie! This white heron in the sun is very well framed and not overexposed. I like very much the dark blue of the water behind too. Great shot!

Very good name for a very nice capture David! :-)
Sharp taken, with very good contrast, that was not easily. Good job. Bravo.

Nice title !
As a matter of fact, I suppose it was difficult to choose the right exposition with this one. But I think you took the right decision, all the more that the dark background can be lightened afterwards. I post a workshop.
Very good shot anyway, the light is beautiful.

Very nice. This is the Little Egret, Egretta garzetta - 55-65 cm Note the yellow feet, which are diagnostic, and he is in breeding plumage, note the bill isblueblack, non breeding has a bit of yellow on the bill. You caught the little crest at the back of his head wel, Elroyie.

Wow - what grace and style. Beautiful posing of the bird, nice light effect, and you did a good job retaining sufficient detail in the white plumage which can be a genuinely tricky thing to get right. Great shot, Elroyie, and nice choice of title, too ;-)
Obviously belongs to the same family as this guy I got to meet in Florida.

Yours is much better, by means of DOF, clarity and sharpness.

Wonderful how this immaculate heron is placed on a white pedestal. The exposure is spot on: the subtle tonal variatons and the texture is very nicely rendered indeed. The subtly undulating background is gorgeous. Great job, Elroyie!

Elroyie, your highness, you're the king, if not the emperor, of the bird pictures. Excellent! TFS.

It's indeed a royalty you have here!!!
Beautiful colors (blue/white.... my favorite combination) and excellent sharpness.
We have the same phenomenon over here in the Netherlands, but the birds are all Grey Herons (Ardea cinerea) and they are standing besides the fishermen along the city canals....
