Photographer’s Note

On the ferry, waiting for the departure from the Livorno harbour to Sardinia.

Alone on the top deck. Searching mom or dad.

We travelled with Corsica/Sardinia Ferries...and we had so many troubles this year.
one week before the departure they called me by phone:

"Sorry sir, but the new ship that we bought it's in late. The ferry naming and launching will be in September, so now we don't have any ferry for the day that you booked.
You'll must change the day...."

"What a great news! Thanks!"

And we changed the day. 2 days before.

One week before the back in Milan, Corsica/Sardinia Ferries called me on the phone:

"Oh Jesus...what happened..."

"Hello Sir, our fast-ferry for the route Olbia-Piombino is fired during the past week, with 200 people on board, during a night crusie to Piombino, but there weren't casualties...so, now we must change your reservation"

"FANTASTIC! Thanks!"

And so we changed not only the day, but the company, using the Moby Lines on the same route Olbia-Piombino.
The original one was a fast ferry, (3 hours on the sea), the Moby Lines one was maybe the old ferry that i ever used (7 hours...).
It was crowded of tourists that as us changed reservation for the Corsica/Sardinia Ferries troubles, wild riots at restaurants, people sitted everywhere.

Totally we had 5 days more of vacation thanks to Corsica/Sardinia Ferries, and so i payed 5 days more of rent of the villa in Sardinia.
I payed the one way ticket with Moby Lines at the last minute many more than the original one, so totally i spent more than 1200,00 euros more thanks to Corsica/Sardinia Ferries!

Now i'm considering for the next year a Ballon from Milan to Olbia...
