Photographers Note
Here is another portrait taken at the religious summer school. The course was over and all the girls were really very happy to have their pictures taken. I had to be fast, and make no mistake. I used a tripod, and boosted the ISO to 500, because otherwise I believe that they would not be able to stay still in this dark corridor.

HI Izzet,
This is very nice - congrats for your work. Clean, sharp and but I like the most the lighting here - the soft natural light.
I was afraid of the slow speed for the portrait work, but you proved that is works. Thanks for sharing!
Congrats,
Miklós
PS:
I'm happy with this picture because I have the same Nikon gear but I don't have any excuse after now.

Hi Izzet,
What I love about this shot is the soft lighting and the sense of peace on the girl's face. I would have prefered it without the other girl in the bg she distracts from the beautiful peaceful face

Hi İzzet,
This one is even better than the first one (my personal opinion) . Very well composed and even with 1/15, good sharpness.
Very nice modell and soft and mystic (!) colors.

Hi Izzet, thisis a beautiful portrait, at 500 ISO and a tripod, no common settings but for sure due to the low light you were supposed to do so ... even if flash option was possible.
I particularly love the big green book that take a large part in this compo and the little girl that we see in background
Excellent

I prefer this to your previous posting, and not just because there's no sloppy PP this time!
I think the off-centre framing works better than the central composition of the other one, and again there is a very strong connection with the eyes.
The background seems a bit overdone - artificially blurred and darkened with a bit of a halo around the girl's headscarf, but the way her colourful clothing stands out from the surrounding darkness does give the shot a strong impact.
I like the inclusion of the other girl in the background, although the way her head appears to be hanging disembodied in mid-air looks a bit strange.
Overall it's very well taken, with good framing and great control of light, but I would have preferred it with less obvious PP on the background.
Cheers,
Ben

A stunning protrait, Izzet! The ethereal face of the other girl through the darkness is just a fantastic counterpoint to this vibrant sharpness of the foreground girl's soulful eyes. A classic, masterly, to say the least.

Bonsoir,

Hello Izzet,
This is a powerful and beautiful portrait. All of the elements blend together so well: the lovely eyes of this girl, her headscarf, and the way she holds the book. The face of the second girl appears like a mirage in the background. Good job with the lighting to produce a mystical photo.

Hi izzet,
I am not into portraits much, but this one really caught my eye. The expression is so natural with warm colors and a sense of peace and calm evident. Great shot and thanks for sharing. Gerald

Wow, this is even better than the previous one! I like the intensity of the colour in this, and also I think the composition works better. The arm on the book sweeps right around the frame and leads up the left to the scarf around the head. Great work!

Hi izzet ,
Frankly speaking I like the two portraits so much. The colour is so eye pleasing and the eyes look very much expressive.

Hi, Izzet, again.
In fact, I was looking for this one :).
I saw it some days again but I was in a hurry and I did not wright my critique...And this a beautiful portrait, like a painting.
Very good composition with a girl in foreground and with minimalistic light. True colors and tones...And all this in the darkness...There is some of classical painting, simply beautiful...A masterpiece of composition, light and colors.
Congratulations.
Best regards again. Grazyna.

Merhaba Izzet Bey,

Hello Izzet,
Great portrait of the girl. Great colours and POV.
The Holy Book in the hands of her gives the character to the photo.
Well done!

Dear izzet,
and the second in the serie,...
the expression and the mood of the face is great, this return to your nice freezing that worked in a perfect time,...what serious look ! with all its innocence in it.
the blurred portrait in the background it's amazing element here, seems this one has that element in the background and you can't find this in another of the shots in the serie.
the light and colors are great,I like the kind of the side light in the 4 shots and here works perfectlyy, nicely done Izzet !
Best Regards

Cath.
