Photographers Note
Early morning in New Delhi.
This is the Jama Masjid Mosque on the opposite side from the Red Fort in the Old Delhi.
I set off way before the sunrise that morning as I wanted to catch the first rays of the Sun. Unfortunately all religious objects were closed before 8 a.m. except one Sikk Mosque where I spent some time before coming to the Jama Masjid, which is the biggest Muslim Mosque in Delhi.
I was one of the first visitors which gave me the opportunity to see and admire the size and the beauty of the mosque in peace.
There were pigeons flying around the square and some eagles above them reminding of their presence with their characteristic squeak.
One of the best moments on my journey in India.

Hi Michael,
This is a great shot of a great building. The birds flying around make it more interesting than a straight shot of the building, but we can still see the wonderful colours and shapes of the mosque. I wonder how the photo would have looked if you had used a much faster shutter speed to freeze the motion of the birds.

U, do Indii się wybrałeś! To marzenie. Byłem już pewnie w ponad 30 krajach. Ale Indie... Bardzo ciekawe zdjęcie. Interesująca kompozycja. Te ptaszki bardzo efektownie wyszły. Architektura budynku też jest niezwykle ciekawa.
Pozdrawiam.

Michal, this one looks very nice. the wide distortion in your 17-40 is there a little, but that does not take much off from the view. the flying pigeons add the classic element to the frame. maybe, one could have tried a somewhat brave composition here, given so many elements to play around with.
Greetings,
Arnab

Hello Michal,
It really pays to get up early. Not only beacuse of the fresher air, but because the colours are so much nicer, which can clearly be seen in this picture. A very good capture with the pidgeons flying all over. But Old Delhi isn't quite New Delhi, is it? ;-)
Best wishes,
Gert

Great shot. Nice how there is room in the frame for both the building and the pigeons.
