Photographer’s Note

I captured these two people enjoying Coniston water in their kayak, the day was one of the best days the lakes had seen all year. There were lots more people up & down the water on their various crafts & some swimming; however I like this photo because there is not too many people in it.

A lovely picture where my eye placed into the action direction seems to be wanting to participate... actually I'd like to, place looks great, the light on the boat and its reflection is superb and the contrast aainst the dark water is strong.

Hi Wilson,

Nice and peaceful mood over this shot. Though some action in the foreground, the general feeling is slow and relaxed - which I think fits the background well. A jetsky would have ruined this shot, in that sense. ;-) Nice!

Very placid scene Wilson, well captured. Looks a lot less crowded and noisy than Windermere would be from what I remember - seem to recall lots of jetskis there. Great placement of the kayak.

un bien grand lac que j'aurais hésité à placer en Grande Bretagne. J'aime beaucoup ces domiantes de bleus.
Je crois que la surface penche un peu à droite.

Who would have thought this was taken in this country in this summer. Beautiful shot and well composed with the kayak entering the frame. There are even some reflections to add an extra attraction to the scene. Well done

Yes, I like the image too. It is peaceful and restful, maybe something to have as your screen saver or wallpaper on the computer at work. I don't know how much work would get done but you at least would be preparing for the weekend. I do like the placement of the main subject and the splash of red in the BG adds a visual distraction to look further into the image. This is a well crafted and executed image. Bravo!

A very peacefull view of these two canoeists (if it was a kayak, I believe they would be kneeling in it) over a quiet lake. The colors are excellent and I like the small boat with the red sails in the background.

Hi, Jay. You've put the kayak at a very good place in yoyr composition, which makes very dynamic. Moreover, it contasts well with the deep blue of the water. Nice diagonal line with the other boat, which creates depth too.
