Photographer’s Note
Ayutthaya the ancient capital, is one of the most visited places in Thailand, and Wat Yai is one of the main temples... so a very photographed place... Still nice to visit, and a good practice for me...
Behind Wat Yai is this group of statues... I shot it this morning.

Hello Laurent,
An excellent juxtaposition of the two Budha Statues, and just like a baguette, it can be appreciated for its freshness. In that respect, it reminds me of one of my favorite shots, Austrian Alps, posted on a flight between Istanbul and Vienna. Just last month flying on Lufthansa, however, I found out that the inflight internet is no longer available.
Warm regards,
Bulent

Nice shot Laurent. The title goes well with the content of the picture. To me, the light in this picture is a little bit so strong that may be a distraction. Maybe you can soften the lgiht to a little more pleasant or use filter in photoshop. Just my opinion. Anyway, we shot with nice perspective. Sothy

Hi laurent,
What a striking image - one that would not normally catch my eye, but I think its the draping yellow on each statue that does it for me - ties it all together very nicely. Very well composed and beautifully presented. Great work and thanks for sharing. Gerald

Bonjour Laurent ,
Daniel.

Very difficult to find something new from popular venues and here you have succeeded to do just that. Your low POV has placed the far statue against the sky which makes a great background free from distractions. Well done

Nice shot Laurent. Great color contrast with the yellow robes. I also like your composition and placement of the Buddha's. Just a good looking shot really, different looking and original. I'm wondering how it would look if you shifted your perspective more to the right, getting more of a "portrait" of the lower Buddha and less of a profile. Probably depends on the background also.
A great shot as is.
Nice work.

Bonjour Laurent,

Hi Laurent,
Well composed with the two statues nicely complementing and balancing one another. I like the fine lighting here, which you managed well, avoiding undue glare off the shoulder of the nearest statue. The clarity of detail is superb. I also like your tasteful cropping for high impact. Very fine work.

Bonjour Laurent,

Outstanding composition, Laurent. Now, I'm quite sad because I don't think I will have time to visit this historic place (I had to choose Sukhothai instead). The quality is impressive with excellent light and colors, but it's the smart interplay bettween the two statues that make this so good.
