Photographer’s Note
We was walking around the Gion district in Kyoto and we meet a professional photograph who was taking pictures to this geisha in different places. It was very easy to join and take my own shots. If you have been in Japan you will imagine that I was not the unique amateur there taking shots of the geisha... it was like a concentration of diversity of cameras around that girl.

Even though the shot is posed I find it nice all the same. Colors are incredible here and your composition is perfect. I think you shouldn't be calling yourself an amateur, because this is very well done!

focus is a real problem here. the shot is classically composed, with all the classic elements. The problem is purely the focus. Oh and I'd clone out the cigarette butt.

What luck to walk into a professional photo shoot and get the chance to take a picture like this. It may be a cliche, with the traditional japanese building and the cherry blossom in the background and the geisha as the focal point but it works for me. Apart from being slightly unsharp this is a wonderful picture.

Cliché, cliché, cliché. But a very good one none the less!
The late spring blossom colors, the kimono colors, her face - all very nice to look at.
(The bridge looks a little overexposed, and it could do with a little sharpness in a few areas.)

It's a nice photo but she is probably a fake Geisha.
Also I don't recognise Gion, it looks more like the philosopher's Path?
Having said all this your technique is spotless.

beautiful shot too bad for the focus I guess it's because you had a rather long exposure and no tripod. Anyway that's well done!
