Photographer’s Note
Is there something better than a little walk in the Old Port of Montreal at night?
I particulary like the colors given form the lights in the water falls.

Hi Stephane,
I'm a big fan of roaming the city at night as well. Still some night shots of Singapore in the pocket, but I first have to finish my Indonesia postings.
Very pleasant tones. Good setting of the white balance. Some cameras (or some users) but it at night on fluorescent light, which then gives a very cold image. You managed to keep some warmth in your shot.
Only downside is your focal point. I have the feeling that your camera focussed on about 25 metres away from you. (Think you focussed on the people walking away, which wasn't necessary with 5 seconds shutter speed...) With f/6.3 on your lense it would - roughly - mean that everything between 4 metres and 200 metres will be sharp. That's visible in the distance a bit. You did some unsharp masking, but the f/6.3 is still slightly visible in the horizon. I would have gone for f/9.0 or f/11.0, with the focal point a 50 metres in front of the clock.
What I do like are the two blurred people walking away in the foreground. That's nice.
Thanks for sharing and have a nice weekend!

This is a very interesting shot. The graphic elements are well composed, nice lighting and minimal grain. Good show.
