Photographer’s Note
Nothing beats the summer heat like cooling off in the chilly waters of a swimming hole in Shenandoah National Park. The one seen here is in Cedar Run Canyon in the central section of the park. Also nearby is a thrilling, fifty-foot, naturally occuring "waterslide".
The Cedar Run Trail can be linked with the adjacent and more spectacular White Oak Canyon Trail for an excellent 8+ mile circuit.
