Photographer’s Note
The situation of women is also very different in different states, what we could notice as we were moving so much. And actually mostly in Rajasthan there was that thing, that all of the women were veiled on the streets, even at homes, when there were any male visitors coming. And it was also there, where I met with that opinion of one of the DI’s (who, for me at least, is supposed to be more open-minded than the others), who said that he doesn’t think, that his wife is beautiful, because she is his own property, and he considers only the other women as beautiful.
There was also one very much opposite situation, in which a doctor respected and appreciated his wife, who was a teacher, and even taught her English. That lady was pretty much open-minded, and when we asked her, what kind of future she sees for her own daughter, she answered, that definitely education, there is no rush in getting married. Another nice exception we met in a home of another DI, Udey, whose mother as well as grandmother are very much respected by the sons, the mother works part-time in a veterinary clinic. And the atmosphere between the family members is so nice and warm, probably because there is no husband in the house.

Hi Ola.
That's a fine picture. I remember my mother, seeing this. I'll call her now and say my dreams again..even when I am busy at home. Lovely remembrances.
Good shot, perfect smile, great looks.
