Photographer’s Note
Chale Bay is positioned on an area of the Isle of Wight called the "Back of the Wight" This is an area that was widely known for smuggling and has seen more than it's fair share of shipwrecks including the Clarendon in 1835 where 25 souls were lost to the sea. Wood from the ship was used in various buildings including The Clarendon Hotel(named after the wreck)and The White Mouse Inn.
I agree that it isn't the best quality, it was blowing a hoolie on the day I took that so perched on the top of soft cliff top in high winds made for a few interesting moments! There was also a fair bit of sea spray around too, but it is a beautiful sight and a place that is very close to where I live.

What a fascinating view Lisa. I've not been to this Isle since a school trip - and that's a lot of years ago - and I don't remember seeing anything this grand or interesting.
The quality is not absolutely top notch - but is perfectly acceptable, and, whilst I don't know what the whole frame looked like to begin with, you have made a good composition from the crop; particularly to the left of frame where we can see detail on both the top and side of the leading cliff, to good effect I think.

Colin

Hello Lisa,
Now that I see your photo I understand what you meant in your critic of my last...
A good composition and perspective that leads the eye to the distance. I also think the cropping is good, though not sure about the heavy black frame in this case.
Regards,Jonathan
