Photographer’s Note
While in Canada, I had taken the Alaska Cruise with my wife. For some reason, we chose to go with Celebrity Cruises and had the time of our lives. This is a photograph of the cruise ship "GTS INFINITY". It is a fairly large vessel with at least 11 decks for passengers. All sorts of facilities are available. I will be posting more photos of this vessel.
The down side however, is that because of its larger size, it could not go as close as I would have desired to the Hubbard Glacier, which was one of the stops on our itinerary.
As the vessel is powered by Gas Turbine Engines, its name has a prefix of GTS (Gas Turbine Ship).
This photograph was taken from the jetty at Icy Strait Point, which is one of the ports we called at in Alaska. The natural beauty of that place is simply out of this world. As the jetty is not big enough to accommodate the vessel, we were taken ashore by small boats called tenders.
You can read more about this vessel here and here.

Great lighting, "straight on" composition and POV Behram. This shot really shows the gigantic size of theese ships, emphasized with your low POV. A very natural looking, flattish color palette which looks great in my opinion. Sharp and detailed with a good note to match.
Nice work.

You have chosen a good POV for this photo. The mountains in the background help to provide some scale to the size of the ship.

Hi Behram,
A good angle shot of this big ship on great mountain landscape. The weather is not at it's best though.
Gas turbines had a reputation of being less economic than diesels, I wonder if it's still the case. At least a good power to weight ratio doesn't seem to make a big difference on such a big ship.
