Photographer’s Note
Rock Pigeon (Columba guinea). (33cm). One of the Large pigeon species found all over South Africa. Typical is the dull-red, white spotted upper parts and the red mask. Commonly found in rocky places such as kloofs and cliffs but has made itself quite at home in the concrete cities.
