Photographer’s Note

Hello folks.
Looking back at my photos from our Rome-tour i found some more that I will post in the coming days.
This one is an early evening shot of the Colosseum. It was built between 72 and 80 a.d. as an arena where gladiators were fighting with each other or with wild animals. The Colosseum had 80 big entrances and it could keep up to 50000 spectators. In Wikipedia you can read more about this impressing building.

A lovely blue hour image, I like how the creative lighting highlights the colosseum structures for it produces nice small warm contrasts on the arches.

Tight composition allows us to see details clearly. Combination of effect lights and blue sky is as good as ever. Strong picture.

Great evening shot of the colosseum. You captured the blue hour nicely blending natural and artificial lighting very well. Your composition is great including a great diagonal running from the top to the bottom of the frame. The colors are great as is the sharpness and detail.

really an eye catching picture. Good PS job but you also need a good original to have something to work with. I like the clear picture and its contrast with the clear blue sky!

This is a nice picture of the Colosseum. I like how you were able to fit the entire height of the building in to the frame. Also, the color combination of blue, orange and grey works harmoniously. Excellent photo.

Majestic building and your photo is superb too. Crisp sharp and clean image, vivid colours, like beeing there. Perhaps the perspective distortion could be eliminated somehow.

I have been to the colosseum, but I have never seen it lit up so beautifully at evening time. I like the dark blue of the sky and the warm light in the arches. It makes a very nice contrast. It's really a lovely night shot. Very prettily done. Warm regards,
