Photographer’s Note
While driving back from a farm where we photographed roosting Grey Herons, we crossed this drift (ford) as the sun was setting. A herd of sheep was trotting through it on its way home, hence the foot prints in the sand in the foreground.
Technical: Took many shots from all angles dragging the tripod through the dust. Shot in RAW, converted and only sharpened for JPEG.

Very nice Irmgard,
it is a wel taken shot and it is a good choose for the tripod and the f22, the quality factor is great in the photo. I think when you would used a superwide lens the image would be nicer, but thats my personal love for this lens, very good photojob here. Have a nice day.

Hi Irmgard,
It sometimes cost to take a good photo ;) I bet threre is not too many water mirrors to get a reflection picture out there. Good sharpness and pov.

Hi Irmgard,
The golden hues and tones are delightful here, and you controlled the strong light very well. I agree with Jaap about perhaps using a wide angle lens, though I share your love of the 17-85, which does have quite a wide scope itself. A bucolic scene with good sharpness. Cheers.

hi Imrgard, the almost golden glow on the rocks from the late afternoon sun is wonderful and the reflection contrasts well with this. An interesting shot.
well done
