Photographer’s Note
This was one of series shots I managed to get of the Red Arrows on display at Windermere Air Festival. Depending upon readers reactions I may post some more!!
The Red Arrows are renowned throughout the world as ambassadors for both the Royal Air Force and the United Kingdom. Since the Team was officially formed in 1965, the Red Arrows have completed over 4,000 displays in 52 countries.
The success of the Red Arrows is dependent not just on nine display pilots, but on a 100-strong team of dedicated and motivated personnel. They are all ordinary people doing an extraordinary job. The Red Arrows’ reputation is built on each team member’s commitment and professionalism, combined with Royal Air Force skills, training and equipment.
Today, some 40% of the Royal Air Force’s assets and 5,000 of its 41,000 personnel are currently serving overseas on operations around the world. The Royal Air Force’s efforts are at the forefront of defending the UK’s interests and of strengthening international peace and security.
Many of the Red Arrows’ pilots and support staff have recently returned from Afghanistan and Iraq and many will be temporarily detached on operations overseas during their time with the Red Arrows. As soon as they leave the Team, all will return to duties which directly support the Royal Air Force’s operational commitments around the world.
We are proud to represent the values and professionalism of the Royal Air Force. In common with our Royal Air Force colleagues, we are working hard to provide a unique, powerful and vital contribution to Defence and the UK.

it's a little bit blured and maybe too wide. I can't post WS anymore for today but I have my idea about a crop.
see you !

Hello,
Really nice shot especially because the view is closed to the planes.
the smoke gives some graphism to it but as Francois says, frame is not perfect but i can't see how to get it better. However, what i prefer is the subject with this four planes. The pov makes us fear any collision.
Is it a gypo formation and then pass or break?
I find your note very interresting, i just regret the lack of information about planes and figures but i understand that note can't be a book;-D.
TFS
Claude.
