Photographer’s Note

Redbull Air Race, London, qualification day.

These photographies were taken from the standing zone 2, one of the zone close to the O2 site.

This a shoot of the Breitling team plane, an MX2.

In the background, the Thames barrier is visible, and I though the composition was worth the post even if the colour are a little bit pale.

The photo was cropped, and I have tried to improve the colours.

very nice shot. I think the muted colours of the city make the plane stand out. I saw these guys on TV today and I thought that it would be wonderful to try panning the camera for 1/4 second or so to get the background blurred while keeping the plane sharp.
